I was brought down by papa and Louisa (from That Special Occastion). Along the way, I forget to put down my veil! Hey, I didn’t know that I need to put it down myself ok. As I walked down with papa, the bees kept chasing my hand bouquet. It must been very fresh! I was so nervous and yet I had to chase the bees away.

The preclude music – Pachelbel’s Canon started. From far I saw Dear and his bestmen team has marched in after Han-Ni announced the beginning of the ceremony. After a while, Dear and his bestmen team were in the position, with all of them facing me. This is followed by the walked in of the flower girl and my bridemaid team.

Now it is down to me! I held my father tight. He was very handsome that day. All the bridesmaids, bestmen and my groom walked up into their position. When the Bridal Chorus Music started to play softly, I held my father’s hand tight as he walked me down the aisle. I saw my dear at the end of the aisle waiting. As I walked in confidently, my eyes focused on dear as he gives me assurance that I’m beautiful at that moment. Besides than our guests and the media, there were many other hotel guests came in to witness our ceremony.

As I reached dear, my father slowly and gently placed my hand onto his hand, together we moved forward. In front was Enzo (the General Manager of Berjaya Langkawi Beach & Spa Resort), who started to wish us and solemnize us. “Yes, I do” were the words that can be heard amidst the sea waves. And we exchanged our vows.

I promise to understand you and trust you and respect you as my husband and the man of my life. We will build our family together and create a life that we can cherish. When everyone in this world does not believe in you, I would still believe in you. This is my solemn vow.

The vows exchange is followed by the sand pouring ceremony. We then poured two bottles of sand (from different beaches) into one bottle, symbolized a new shared life, and couldn’t be separated anymore. This special event was so meaningful to us!

After the sand pouring ceremony, we got back to our position and we exchanged our rings. This is the time when it started to rain. Han-Ni said, it was the “shower of love“, even the God is touched that we’re finally married. As we continue, there were a few people cover us with umbrella. We stood still knowing that whatever happens, we’re standing together from now on.

After Enzo pronounced us as Mr. and Mrs. Teo, the Ever Ever After song was played! We walk down along the eco-friendly aisle as husband and wife with the blessings with all our families, relatives and friends.

We walked out to the back and Louisa helped me to attach the train to my gown as preparation for the media photo session. I saw Poh Mui, she helped me to push away my hair to ensure that I’m still pretty for photo session. Then, we walked out for photo session. As it was still raining a bit, Han-Ni has asked for our opinion to change it to plan B for dinner. We decided to change to Plan B (having the dinner in Oriental Chinese Restaurant instead of Pahn-Thai Restaurant) and guests were ascorted to the Beach Restaurant nearby.

All my bridesmaids and our friends were so excited to take photo, don’t even care if it’s raining. When the rain stops, KY and Zach (from Edmund Tham’s Photography) suggested us to take the pictures along the beach with all the beach wedding decoration. We started to take photo and it really stopped raining indeed. We took many photos with families, relatives, bestmen, bridemaids and friends but we’ve missed out the Berjaya team who had worked so hard for us.

During the photo session time along the beach, Poh Kwan from Razor TV managed to interview our bestmen and bridemaids and our friends. After the photo session, I tossed my bouquet and it was caught by Chuei Ping! I guess I have passed it to the right person! Haha!

The overall concept for the Beach Wedding ceremony is to incorporate the eco-friendly, natural setting and yet elegant decorations. The whole setups are using everything green, earth and nature-inspired (i.e. beach and jungle) elements, which is what Berjaya Langkawi Beach & Spa Resort is made of. The Gazebo is decorated by sea-shells, tropical-flowers and plants, while the aisle is decorated by sand, leaves, orchids and banana tree elements. The seats are made of tree trunks, and covered by leaves. Very Malaysian and very tropical feel indeed!

Let’s take a look at the master pieces and all the little efforts spent on the Beach Wedding decorations.

Carolyn told us that we would have to keep practicing until when everyone is ready. However, despite under the strong sun, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves very much! Brian keep joking with Carolyn to keep all of us entertained. I was so afraid of sunburn as all my effort to keep fair would gone wasted, so I kept using a shawl to cover until someone brought us umbrella. Seeing us suffering under the sun, the resort manager put up some water sprinkle and we played on it. It was so fun to get wet under hot weather! To be frank, this rehearsal is one of the most fun parts of this wedding.

After the rehearsal, we went back to our room. We had the privilege to have our lunch sent to our room. At 1pm, Taisu, Michelle, Kat and Samantha were here. Taisu and Kat did make up and hairdo for me and my mum while Michelle and Samantha did for dear, sister and mama. It was really exciting to see our mums and sister so pretty. Haha… Edmund Tham’s team, KY and Zach were there too to capture the preparation moments. Andy Wang from Perfect Moment Studio was there as well. We had a few prep shots at the balcony. Just before we went off to the tea ceremony, we were interviewed by Poh Kwan & Peirong from Razor TV. The full coverage of episode series can be found from Razor TV website.

After we were all done, we were fetched by a buggy (our personalized golf buggy!) to the Ayura Spa. There, we had our tea ceremony. As soon as we arrived at the main gate, we were welcomed and greeted politely by a team of Ayura Spa workers. So nice of them!

After walked through some steps over the mini garden, we reached the actual place where the tea ceremony will be held. We realized that everyone (our family, organizers, wedding planners, cameramen and media etc) has been waiting for us. Camera flashings were non-stop and we have so much confidence in Shu Uemura and Centro that our looks were very presentable.

We took some time to observe the place. The place was very quite and full of greenery surrounding it. The decorations for the tea ceremony were very classic and traditional with a bright red backdrop and “Xi” Chinese character. There were 2 wooden chairs for our parents to sit and 2 red cushions for us to kneel. Thanks to Confetti for helping us to decorate up the tea ceremony area!

The weather is hot and windy and we took chance to take many photos. The media friends also took opportunity to interview our parents. That was the first time I called his parents papa and mama. I felt so weird and couldn’t get used to it.

After that event, we waited for our personal golf buggy to come to fetch us. When we walked down the stairs, we realized we were just in front of our chalet! It is actually so near!

Then we were driven by our personal golf buggy to Rebak Meeting room. There, the whole professional team Taisu, Kat, Michelle, Samantha, Louisa and Carolyn were waiting for us. We took chance to rest while the media friend from Razor TV took chance to interview us. They even asked dear to sing! Haha.. The singing clip can be found from Razor TV Website. While we resting, they packed some food for us. We feel so much like VIP as everything was being taken care of. Dear went back to room to pack everything so that they can transfer our things to our bridal suite later at night.

As I was resting, outside started to rain quite heavily. I saw everyone looked so worried but I was calm. I started to change into my bridal gown whiled Louisa helped me to make sure everything is perfect. Taisu and Kat helped me with the second round make up and hairdo. I really like my appearance, a combination from all the experts. Everything seemed to complement with each other, the gown, accessories, hairdo and make up. KY, Zach and Andy were there to capture the whole preparation process.

Dear came back to Rebak meeting room after a while. After he had his hair and make up done, it is the time for him to go down to the Beach Front (i.e. the actual beach ceremony venue) to entertain the guests first. Before he left, he took some effort to kiss me and assured me everything is going to be fine. The very next time when I see him, it will be the time when my father passes my hand to him!

Evan came in when I was done and waiting. He brought my papa, mama, bridesmaid Elin and Han-Ni along. I started to feel excited. They discussed if I should put my veil down to cover my face. Kris Wong was there too to make sure my gown is in good condition and the veil was positioned properly. Carolyn gave me my beautiful hand bouquet and clipped the corsage to my parents’ clothes. Then, they all went down left me and my papa in the room.

Now, it is down to the Grand Walk-in at the Beach Front next! The organizer, the sponsors, and everyone of us are putting in so much effort to prepare for this climax event, in order to present us to the media in the best way possible. The Beach Wedding is also meant to showcase the rest of the world that how successful the regional first online wedding reality show (i.e. the whole Love Me Do campaign) has achieved.

After a brief meeting with our parents, we were set to attend the media night in the evening at beach front. The place was decorated in a very cosy way. It was set to have some sofa-like comfy seats and some dim lights. The projector was set in front of the beach with the wave sound so refreshing. Overall, the atmosphere was great!

The media night event was kick-started by a presentation from the Berjaya team (represented by Han-Ni) on the past 6 months Love Me Do campaigns - the process, the methodology, the participants, the result of the campaigns. Very impressive indeed! On top of that, it surprised us when there was also a presentation on our wedding preparation process. We were touched by the presentation and we were glad that all the process was documented down by our documentary photographers – Evan.

Before the event ended, we had a chit-chat session with the media. The brief content of the media night chit-chat session can also be found from VirtualMalaysia.com. Overall, we had enjoyed the whole event.

After the media night, it was time to go back to our separate rooms and there were surprises waited for us in the rooms. It was Bachelor night and Hens night! Fun time~!

For Kimberly in her Hen’s night:

My best friends had decorated the room and prepared me with many tasks to do:

First, to blow the fireworks candles on the cake.
Second, to be crowned with a pinkish furry crown.
Third, to wear the pink night gown.
Forth, to open the sparkling juice.
Fifth, to find all the clues that lead to the gifts that they prepared for me.
Sixth, to knock onto 7 chalets and asked everyone in the room to sign for me at 12 am midnight!

It was a night filled with surprises, games and gifts. I realized that everything was pink! The cake, the candles, the crown, the night gown, the pig, the sparkling juice, the gifts and even all of them were wearing Pink! It’s my favorite colour. So wonderful, so nice of them! Being together with the girls made me feel like a kid, like how we used to be 10 years ago in Secondary school Form 5. We are all kids at heart!

For Kelvin in his Bachelor’s night:

I am glad that there were many friends came in to my room just to have fun. The magician – Steve was there to keep all of us entertained. I realized that all of them are good drinkers as all the alcohols prepared by Brian were consumed and there’s no more left after 2 hours! And much to my surprised, after a night of alcohol and chit-chat session, all of them have become good friends despite of not knowing each other before the event.

To sum up, it was a night filled with good friends, chit-chat, laughter, alcohol, games and magic.

It was the night before getting married. Even though we were having so much fun in our rooms, the connecting feeling was strong. We both knew what matter most is to have each other for the rest of our life. From tomorrow onwards, we don’t need to have fun separately, we’ll have fun together!

It is 22 Apr! Finally, the long awaited day has arrived! We woke up at 5am, despite I can’t sleep for the whole night again being too nervous. After a quick wash up, we took a cab to the airport. We took the Jetstar from Changi Terminal 1 to KLIA. There, we met up with Eric, the Berjaya team photographer. We checked in early and had time to walk around and chit chat with Eric. We started to get excited as we are going to the Berjaya Resort and Spa in Langkawi and would have our grand wedding over there!

We took Malaysia Airline from KLIA to Langkawi. It was a short flight but the feeling was so good and excited. Once we landed, the excitement feeling intensed, thinking of what is ahead of us. It reminded us many good memories and good feeling. The surrounding and scenery were familiar and the weather was hot and sunny.

As we walked out of the airport, we saw Evan, our documentary photographer, standing in a very professional posture, waiting for us to come out. Very professional, we must say. We were fetched by a Mercedes Benz and a personal driver, Roslan to go around Langkawi for photo shooting. Our first stop was the Lang Square, the symbol of Langkawi. Then, we were fetched to a jetty before going back to Langkawi Berjaya Spa and Resort.

At the resort, we were welcomed by Han-Ni and the team. We felt so honoured to become the winning couple. Everything was arranged nicely for us and everyone in the resort seemed to know that we’re getting married tomorrow. Even the resort shuttles (buggy) had our name and tag on it.

We were welcomed by a welcome drink, followed by lunch at Dayang café. Our table was nicely decorated and we felt so privileged. While we chit chatted with Han-Ni and Evan, we saw our friends, Lee Chong and Christina (from Johor Bahru). It was really great to see them around, knowing that many of our friends were coming from all over the world to gather in Langkawi to witness our wedding.

After lunch, we went to Rebak meeting room to meet Carolyn, our wedding planner. She briefed us on the whole event, making sure we’re ready for tomorrow. After that, we checked in to our separate rooms. As we were waiting at the lobby, we met Brian (from Kulim, Kedah), Dons and Iky (from Singapore), and Huang He & Yin Yan (from Beijing, China). All our friends were coming in one by one from all over the world. We were getting more excited. It was indeed an honour for us to have so many good friends who came from far just to witness our marriage.

On the way to our room, we saw many rooms with a pink and blue poster next to the door. We were surprised to know that they were actually the welcome note for our guests, media friends and sponsors! It was so nice!

We checked in to our separate room 1272 and 1276. It is a very nice premier chalet on land. The room is spacious with a king size bed, open space bathroom (very suitable for couples) and below is rocks with sea waves, so relaxing! It was indeed an enjoying feeling to stay in the room. When we pull open the door and windows, we can feel that we’re actually on top of water with sea breeze and waves sounds. Fantastic!

We also went to Centro to have a make-over session on Sunday. We’ve been there twice, and each time, we feel that their service and skills are exceptional. We feel that going to Centro is a way of enjoyment. We felt so relax and comfortable there (after the hectic preparation, this is really what we need). Samantha and Kat are very good in creating a fresh look for us. We felt much honored when Jessica, the director of Centro, contacted us personally to find out the head pieces that we like on the wedding day. We have so much confidence in Centro to provide us the best hair on that day.

Now, everything is almost finalized. We went through the list and the program structure is up. The remaining things will just be the minor touch up of the program list. Knowing that there are so many people (organizers, sponsors, press and guests) gearing up and spend so much effort just for our big day, we indeed felt very lucky and honored.

In fact, Langkawi was one of the first trips that we went as couple when we started our relationship (See attached photos). This coming LoveMeDo trip will definitely bring back the memories dated back to 2002. It is indeed very meaningful to have our wedding in such a memorable place!

It is only a few days before the big day. We are so looking forward to that day. Hopefully, things will go smoothly. Someone told us that this event will be the wedding of the year. Let’s keep the fingers crossed. We hope that this event will not just be the events of our lifetime, but also the truly memorable events for everyone (guests, organizers and sponsors).

Looking forward to meet all of you (the guests, the organisers, the sponsors and the press) in the legendary island of Langkawi! I hope everyone of you will have great time over there!

I have never been so concern about my physical appearance until these few weeks, when I started to drink collagen everyday, use masks and scrubs few times a week. I also started to use body lotion everyday and become very particular about what I eat everyday. I remember Kelvin once told me, there’s no ugly woman, only lazy woman. As girls, if we are hardworking, no matter how you look by nature, you can still look pretty. There are so many things that I still need to do in order to look good. After a deeper thought, I think there’s no ugly woman, but poor women instead! This is because we need to be quite loaded in order to do many things to look pretty. Think of facial, birdnest, collagen, nice clothes and shoes, accessories, make up etc.

The important day is coming nearer, only two weeks from now. It seems like the dream is not a dream anymore. It is coming true soon…

At Charles & Keith, I got the chance to choose my bridal shoes. There were so many to choose from sandals, wedges to heels. Personally, I am a fan of Charles & Keith. I always buy my footwears from Charles & Keith in Singapore. Their shoes are very nice, fashionable and most importantly, it can last real long. I hope to get their heels as I’ve got their sandals and wedges on my collection. Girls as usual love shoes, shoes and many more shoes!

At Pedro, we had a hard time choosing as every pair seems so nice to us. But first, Kelvin’s requirement is that the platform shouldn’t be slippery. So, we took the effort to see each pair’s platform. We had to choose the best among the best, hard time for us. In fact, each and every pair is nice, we both love it!

We are actually participating in a huge and meaningful project called Love, Life, Living project by Evan Hwong. Everyone can participate as long as you are a Malaysian. We had great fun taking photos in his studio with his professional skills. It was a great experience and the photos are absolutely beautiful! And all the Berjaya team members were there to participate too!

Being part of the project reminds us that all Malaysians should unite to achieve something great. If you are Malaysian, be part of it and you’ll feel proud of it. What better than having beautiful photos taken by Evan Hwong and able to contribute to this meaningful project?

We love all the photos!

The first thing that we did was to call up our friends and relatives to inform them about the news. None of them were surprise for the speed of our wedding, but overjoyed to know that we’ve won the contest. Some of them already knew it as they have been checking on the website everyday. We received many well wishes from our family and friends that really touched us with their support. So much that we wanted to invite everyone to attend the wedding, but there were only limited space. However, we will share the photos and our experience and hopefully the joy would be shared by everyone.

The next thing that we did was to buy our wedding band. We had been eyeing a few pairs from Love & Co. and finally we had made final decision. We were glad that they can speed up the custom made process and allow us to collect on time.

I was scheduled to meet Elisa on Tuesday to make my gown. In fact, a beautiful gown is my main requirement all these while. One of my best friends actually did her wedding gown at That Special Occasion. I remember her gown was gorgeous. She told me Kris was the one who made for her. I’m crossing my fingers so that I could have something nice too.

That Tuesday when I met Elisa, I had a pleasant surprise. Together with her is Evan, a photographer who specialized in doing documentary. He is going to start taking my photos and make it into a documentary for our wedding planning process. That is really special. I have never thought of this idea and this is going to be so meaningful for us. He is a very professional photographer and he would say, “I’m invisible, just do whatever you want to do”. At first, I find it awkward to be photographed, but when he showed me some of the photos that he has taken, I feel so good. It is so nice.

We went to That Special Occasion and met with Kris. I have never been seriously into reading bridal magazine, but the night before when I was in the train, I really read it page by page. I have some idea of what I want and Kris is good in adding personal touch and originality into the dress design. He sketched the design once I described what I wanted and added his idea. Overall, I feel that the dress going to be very nice. I’m hoping that it will look nice on me. He measured my body and he said this is the smallest waistline that he had every measured. I’m a bit concerned how to look pretty if I’m just too skinny.

After that, Carolyn, the wedding planner from Nupts and Such were diligently telling me about the wedding schedules, and gave me some ideas on how the wedding going to be held. It gets me more excited when they described how beautiful and fun it is going to be. I’m just so looking forward it now.

Then, Debra from Acadia showed me many different card colours and texture to let me choose the invitation card design. She would suggest something special or nice along the way. Think of a silver base card with red wordings, baby blue base and turquoise wordings. So many wonderful combinations, but being a conservative person, I would still prefer it to be a normally acceptable wedding invitation card. I guess, parents would like it too.

After the meeting with these people, I started to feel that this hard earned prize is so nice and it is going to be very memorable for both of us. This is definitely going to be our lifetime experience as this wedding is planned like a celebrity wedding and to have all the best people around to help us. We are really lucky. Dear was away for his business trip as usual and even he’s busy, he would take some time to call me up everyday just to make sure I’m doing fine. I can’t wait to tell him everything, I’m sure he would be as excited as me!
