On 11 February 2009 we were invited to the last event of the Phase 3 of LoveMeDo Contest, mainly organised by Berjaya Resort Berhad, Shu Uemura and The Loaf Bakery &Bistro.

Hui Ming and I reached Pavilion at 1.30pm and was immediately ushered to The Loaf Bakery and Bistro. The settings are pleasing to the eyes, with Shu Eumura’s card and the complimentary high-tea delicacies arranged with an artistic style.

A quick speech was given by Han-Ni of Berjaya Resorts Berhad praising some of the blogs written by the top 7 contestants. Well, we agree the blogs are true detailed accounts of what all the contestants have gone through throughout the events, mushy romantic stories, confession of lovers and all are done with 100% eagerness and effort. We salute to the rest of the Top 7 contestants! You guys are great!!

We are a little disappointed to be out of the winning Top 3 ranking for the time being, but nevertheless the experience gathered up to this moment has be exhilarating and yet the most meaningful thing that has happened to us both ever since our fate were entwined. A big thank you to everyone that has help us made these came true to us.

The next eagerly awaited demonstration arrives. Frederick from Shu Uemura went up the rostrum with a bare faced model and started demonstrating to the ladies on the floor on how to achieve the glowing bridal look using Shu Uemura products of course. The girls are stuck to the demo like glue, never inched never budged, much to their partners’ dismay. They listened up closely, took down notes on the tactics of applying mascara, curling eyelashes and applying cheek blushes. Hui Ming particularly ignored me most of the time during this demo, much to my dismay. But well, despite that, Frederick’s presentation has been very entertaining, the jokes he made has cause the floor to roll in laughter.

Some basic and useful tips from Frederick on how to take care of our skin:

1- Cleansing Oil - cleans and removes makeup or dirt.
2- Toner/Lotion -reduce pore size, soften and prepare the skin for better absorption of serum and moisturizer.
3- Serum/Essence - penetrate into deeper layer of skin to enhance hydration.
4- Moisturizer - to moisture the outer layer of skin.

Frederick also shared with us step-by-step to create nude makeup and preparation for bride and groom for their big day!!

Then the biggest honour came when he hand picked me to go up the rostrum get my manly eyebrows trimmed. I felt a little uncomfortable to be “man-handled” by a male makeup artist, as I always assumed makeup artists to be generally females. But hey! The results came out nice. I now have perfect looking brows. Manly brows I must stress!

When the presentation ended, the Q&A session started! And of course the ladies grabbed the opportunity to ask the glorious Make Up Artist on the hows and whys to get the perfect made up look, especially for the wedding.

Hui Ming was given a brief personal commenting by Frederick and was told to cut down on yellow-toned food and fruits, as she has rather yellow complexion.

Well, the session ends on 6.45 pm and we had to call it a day. Hui Ming and I was rather heavy-hearted and would hope to stay on as the top 3 finalist for the Langkawi all in sponsored wedding event. We still hope the votes will flow in and help us survive. Do still vote for us. We still have chance of winning!
